Books FAQ
When are new books dropped?
We drop 5-7 new books on the first of the month at 8am ET. Yes, even January 1st! We drop the 1st rain or shine, holiday or not!
Do I get to pick my books?
Yes! Every month members can select 1 book using their credit and purchase up to 2 extra books at a discount. The first book must be from the newest month’s picks but the extra books can be from any month.
What types of books do you carry?
We carry a range of genres from horror to literary fiction to romance to thriller and more! We love spotlighting debut voices and introducing our members to under-the-radar picks. We have a full-time editorial team dedicated to curating our selections.
Do you offer e-books or audiobooks?
We exclusively offer hardcover Aardvark editions with a matte dust jacket and buttery soft hardcover underneath. Check under the dust jacket and you’ll notice a foiled hardcover spine. Hardcover > ebooks any day. Our books won’t die on a trans-Atlantic flight!
Can I order a box without a book from the current month?
No, every order must include at least one book from the current month’s selections. Your add-ons (up to 2) can be from any month.
How do I remove a book from my box in-app?
You can remove a book from your box by following these steps:
1. Click the book that is on your box and view its page with the synopsis
2. Click the "View in box" button in the bottom
3. Click the top right corner of a book that you'd like to remove
